Our Work

Grants

Through the generosity of benefactors such as St. Anthony's Guild, Holy Name Province is able to offer financial grants to encourage and support various ministries that serve the poor and other needy people.

Benevolence Trust Grants

The Franciscan Friars Benevolence Trust of Holy Name Province encourages and supports programs and projects that offer concrete services for meeting the needs of the poor served by the Friars of Holy Name Province. These programs include, but are not limited to efforts to secure: basic rights, food, shelter, medical care, and education for the poor.

May Bonfils Stanton Grants

From 1887 to 1983, the Franciscan friars of Holy Name staffed St. Elizabeth Parish in Denver, Colorado, as well as a number of other ministries there. Their work gained the admiration and assistance of May Bonfils Stanton, a member of a prominent Denver family. In her will, Ms. Stanton established a trust to help fund these ministries.

Today, the Holy Name Province May Bonfils Stanton Trust continues to encourage and support programs and projects that provide any charitable endeavor of bringing comfort to the sick, the poor and the needy in the vicinity of greater Denver, Colo. Preference in awarding grants is given to not-for-profit agencies that provide services that include but are not limited to efforts to secure the basic rights to food, adequate shelter, healthcare and education for the poor.
