Engaging in Franciscan ministry is a great way to learn about our way of life. The following organizations offer volunteer opportunities, which vary in the type of work and length of commitment involved.

Franciscan Volunteer Ministry, Philadelphia, Pa. – A group of young lay men and women, living in community, who dedicate themselves to ministry in the Church.

St. Francis Inn, Philadelphia, Pa. – A Franciscan, Eucharistic community that serves the needs of the poor and homeless of Philadelphia with food, clothing and hospitality.

St. Francis House, Boston, Ma. – Ministers to Boston's poor and homeless with food, clothing, shelter, counseling and rehabilitative services.

Franciscan Mission Service, Washington, D.C. – A partnership founded in 1985 that provides Catholic lay women and men the opportunity to serve and partner with poor and oppressed communities around the world.
