Come and See Weekend in New York City

Would you like a taste of Franciscan life? We invite you to visit our community at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Manhattan for a weekend of hospitality, prayer, discernment and fraternity. Join us to share meals, celebrate the Eucharist, and reflect on the Gospel life of joy, compassion and service inspired by St. Francis of Assisi.
You'll visit several of our ministry sites and also have free time to take in the sights and sounds of the Big Apple. Come and see if Franciscan life is for you!

Franciscan Experience Weekend (FEW)

FEWs offer an opportunity for men interested in Franciscan life to discuss their calling in depth with our vocation director and other members of the vocation team. These conversations help clarify the interest level of both the candidates and the friars. Guests also meet our friar community at St. Anthony Shrine, including postulants in their first year of discernment with the Province, and learn about our initial formation program and varied ministries. Generally, guests are invited to attend the weekend by the vocation director
