These items are utilized by friars and by their partners-in-ministry, both individually and in group settings. St. Anthony's Guild 2009 Calendar

Celebrate the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Franciscan Order with this 2009 calendar exploring the life of St. Francis of Assisi through the frescoes painted by 14th century Italian artist Giotto.

Giotto's vivid, richly detailed masterpieces depict familiar scenes including St. Francis' renunciation of his family's wealth, his vision of Christ speaking from the San Damiano Cross, preaching to birds and receiving the stigmata.

Year for Priests

Pope Benedict designated June 19, 2009, the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, as the beginning of a Year for Priests. This is in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the death of Secular Franciscan St. John Vianney, patron of priests.
